Review Summary:
Elixinol sources high quality hemp from around the world. They are one of the older brands on the market and are very well established with a great reputation. They have great sourcing & extraction methods with certificates of analysis to back up their quality.
The only downside is that all of their lab testing appears to have been done in house. Mean they have not 3rd party verified their own lab results.
This isn't a deal breaker, they are still a great brand with a very good reputation.

Founded by Paul Benhaim, Elixinol has been making CBD products since 2015 and is one of the better known big CBD companies in the industry. They have a very broad range of product lines developed including tinctures, capsules and pet treats.
One stand-out product is their X-pen, an innovative click pen dispense system that delivers precise dosing of sublingual drops, every time. They also offer pet treats in a wide range of flavors.
Below you will find a look into each of their products, followed by an overall rating along with a detailed Elixinol review from my research into this company.

Elixinol CBD Tinctures
Hemp Oil
The main line of hemp oil available at Elixinol is made from a full spectrum CO2 extraction.
It’s available in 300mg, 600mg, and 3600mg sizes and comes in natural or cinnamint flavors.
There is not a proper ingredient list offered on the site, so it is hard to say what else is in this tincture.
X-Pen
This innovative delivery method is a click pen that delivers a precise dose of 15mg of hemp oil. It comes in a 1000mg size.
It also keeps the remaining CBD oil in a vacuum sealed dark environment to preserve freshness.
Respira Versatile
Other than an additional $10 a bottle, and a grape mint flavor.
It is unclear what sets this product apart from the company’s main line of CBD oil tinctures, other than it is in a squeeze spray bottle.
It comes in natural and grape/mint flavors.
Elixinol Capsules
Available in 15mg doses in either 30 or 60 capsule bottles.
These CBD oil capsules are supplemented with coconut extract.
They are the most convenient way to get precise dosing every time.
Elixinol Topicals
Hemp Balm
The hemp balm is formulated with a full spectrum oil instead of an isolate, rare in CBD topicals.
The additional ingredients are all plant based and free of synthetics.
The formula is lightly scented and designed to moisturize without leaving a grease residue.
It is a bit on the pricey side. Each 4oz tube contains 125mg of CBD oil.
Lip Balm
Although it has only 5mg of CBD, this balm is reasonably priced and includes several other excellent ingredients including Shea butter, Palm oil, Jojoba oil, Neem oil and vitamin E.
Elixinol Liposomes
The manufacturer claims that Liposomes are a special carrier that help CBD be absorbed more rapidly into the bodies membranes.
This is a water-soluble formula and it can be applied directly under the tongue via the spray bottle, or mixed with beverages or food.
It comes in 300mg or 1000mg in a citrus flavor.
Edibles
Elixinol sources organic hemp sourced in Canada and Northern Europe for both their Hemp Protein Powder and Hemp Seeds.
They are both minimally processed and are GMO free, vegan friendly and gluten free.
Rich in protein and essential fatty acids, these products can be used in shakes or baked goods.
Elixinol Dog Treats
Made with organic and human grade ingredients and developed with veterinarians, the dog treats each have between 1 and 1.5mg of full spectrum CBD.
They come in a variety of flavors, one of the largest selections of CBD pet treats I have seen, including:

Pros
Transparency of the Ownership
Paul Benhaim is the man behind this brand, and he has made the decision to be visible to the public and stand behind his product. This is unusual in the CBD industry and I for one would like to see more of this in the future.
CO2 Extraction
The company claims to use CO2 extraction methods which are considered clean and ecofriendly. However, note that some of their “certificate of analysis” available on the site do show trace amounts of some heavy metals in some cases.
Experienced Team and an Established Brand
Although I did not ultimately give this company my highest rating overall, it is worth pointing out that this company has been around since at least 2015, making it one of the older CBD companies around. In addition, they have a strong brand presence and work to educate the public about CBD alongside their marketing efforts.
Organic Hemp and Natural Ingredients
The company claims to use only organic hemp (although they fail to be clear about country of origin) and they use a lot of natural ingredients in their products.

Pricing
The cost per mg of CBD for Elixinol is about in the middle range for CBD oil products. However, I just did not find enough indicators of quality to justify the price in this case.
Hemp Sourcing
While the company claims to be based in Colorado and they suggest they source organic hemp, it is unclear where they source their hemp from because they do not come out and say it.
Full Spectrum?
The manufacturers claim that they offer a full spectrum oil. However, as of 7/14/2018 when I visited their site, they did not offer any third-party testing to verify that claim, or to show the actual balance of cannabinoids and terpene profiles for their hemp oil. The testing that is on the site only shows the mg of CBD per bottle and is a report that is produced in house.
Third Party Testing
I found the Elixinol website to be somewhat deceptive in design. Their informational sections go on and on about their pharmaceutical grade testing. At first it was great to see that they use batch numbers for a full traceability so that each customer can view the labs for their batch. However, when I went to look at the batch analysis reports I discovered they are done in house and are incomplete at best.
For example, this report shows a recent lab, but it lacks a full cannabinoid profile (which really matters for products claiming to be full spectrum), shows trace amounts of lead, and is published by Elixinol, not a third party laboratory.
Ingredients
Most reputable CBD companies make it very easy to read the full ingredient list in their product right on the product page before you buy. However, several of the products on the Elixinol site (accessed 7/14/18) did not have the full ingredient list for the products.
In addition, a slew of additional ingredients were listed on some products. On the day I accessed the site, the 300mg natural flavor tincture included a statement by the manufacturer that said: “Other natural molecules include: Alkanes, Nitrogenous compounds, Amino acids, Sugars, Aldehydes, Alcohols, Ketones, Flavanoids, Glycosides, Vitamins, Pigments, and water.”
